Support Rings

A support ring clamps to a ring stand and holds glassware above a burner or a work surface. Welded rings are the sturdier choice for heavier setups, unwelded extension rings open so you can fit them around a piece already in place, and the sets cover a range of diameters at once. Pair a ring with wire gauze under a beaker or a flask, or with a clay triangle when you are heating a crucible directly in the flame.
